Parigi è una delle città più amate al mondo per la sua storia e per la sua cultura. È da sempre una meta obbligatoria per i sognatori e per i romantici e, non a caso, ha affascinato numerosi artisti che si sono spinti da ogni nazione alla ricerca della giusta ispirazione affinché poter lasciare un segno indelebile per ogni Era che verrà. Alcune emozioni, che solo la capitale francese può regalare, si nascondono in ogni angolo, ma oggi abbiamo una storia ben precisa e diversa da raccontare.

Io sono Carmine Pelosi e oggi miei cari lettori di MediaVox Magazine voglio parlarvi di una delle più grandi meraviglie che la mente e la manodopera umana abbia mai realizzato e che all’occhio di ogni persona non possa che suscitare ammirazione e grandi apprezzamenti.

Parliamo del Ritz Paris, l’hotel situato al n.15 di Place Vendôme nel pieno cuore di Parigi.

La struttura prese vita durante la prima parte del 1700 come residenza privata, prima di passare nel 1854 a Jacob Emile e Isaac Rodrigue Pereire, due ebrei portoghesi che la fecero diventare la sede del loro istituto di credito (Crédit Mobilier) diventando così protagonisti del mondo finanziario parigino durante l’impero di Napoleone III.

Fu anni dopo César Ritz, il celebre imprenditore svizzero, conosciuto anche come il re degli albergatori e l’albergatore dei re a trasformare la struttura in un hotel di lusso, inaugurando la sua apertura l’1 giugno del 1898.

La perseveranza di Ritz nel suo riscatto sociale e personale rappresenta l’eccellenza e la grandiosità delle opportunità che la vita può offrire a chiunque si riveli essere un visionario anticonformista.

Da un piccolo paese che sembrava scalfirlo, una forza nel cuore lo spingerà a cambiare il proprio destino contro tutto e tutti. Ben presto infatti il nome Ritz avrebbe dato vita alla moderna tecnica di ospitalità turistica che sarebbe divenuto sinonimo di lusso, di magnificenza e di sogni. L’hotel in breve tempo divenne la meta di numerosi ricchi dell’epoca e di sognatori in cerca di successo per cambiare le sorti del fato, come lo stesso Ritz aveva fatto…

Gli illustri ospiti hanno dato nomi a suites, bar e sale, rendendo immortali le anime di tali celebrità. Un luogo incantato, pieno di fascino inebriante, che ha visto leggende trasformare l’hotel in una leggenda vivente. Esatto, poiché il Ritz ha un’anima tutta sua, piena di vita, di storie e di emozioni…

La stilista Coco Chanel fece dell’hotel la sua casa per ben 30 anni, soggiornandoci fino alla morte avvenuta il 10 gennaio del 1971. A Ernest Hemingway è dedicato uno dei tre bar presenti nella struttura.

Insieme al suo collega Francis Scott Fitzgerald, ha passato numerose serate a bere e a trovare l’inchiostro perfetto per la sua prossima storia. Nella struttura, è impossibile non ammirare il Salon Proust che si trova subito dopo il Bar Vendôme all’ingresso della struttura.

Come si può facilmente capire, il luogo prende il nome dallo scrittore e saggista francese Marcel Proust, la cui monumentale opera “Alla ricerca del tempo perduto” rappresenta una delle pietre miliari nella storia dell’intera letteratura. Il salone è il luogo ideale dove godersi una pausa nella raffinatezza che solo l’hotel può offrire. Anche grandi attori nel corso del ’‘900 sono stati ospiti dell’albergo;, ricordiamo infatti Charlie Chaplin, Rodolfo Valentino e Greta Garbo.
Inoltre, durate l’invasione della Francia, avvenuta nel corso della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il Ritz fu occupato dall’esercito tedesco che lo fece diventare la sede di lusso degli ufficiali di alto rango e quartier generale dell’aviazione.

Nel 1979 la famiglia Ritz vendette l’hotel al magnate egiziano Mohamed Al-Fayed. Nel 1997, in quella triste notte del 31 agosto, alloggiarono per l’ultima volta il figlio del proprietario, Dodi, e la sua compagna Diana Spencer prima della morte nel tunnel di Pont de l’Alma. Dopo quel tragico evento la suite dove soggiornavano i due è diventata monumento nazionale.

Nel corso degli anni tante altre personalità di spicco hanno soggiornato e soggiornano ancora al Ritz Paris, per questo tutt’oggi l’hotel rappresenta ancora una meta nella quale rendersi conto di quanta bellezza a volte gli esseri umani possaono compiere. Il personale super qualificato accoglie ogni cliente come se fosse la persona più importante al mondo.

Gentilezza, cordialità e cortesia sono solo alcune delle parole chiave per avere un successo che continua a durare nel tempo. Non si può che restare incantati dinanzi a tanta arte e sfarzosità. Ricordiamo anche che è presente una meravigliosa piscina e una SPA nella quale rilassarsi e dimenticare i propri problemi.

Abbiamo dunque capito come il Ritz Paris sia molto più di un hotel di lusso. Fin dalla sua fondazione esso ha rappresentato e rappresenta il “Sogno” per ogni artista…

Le anime del Ritz hanno tutte una cosa in comune: hanno cambiato il mondo. Con le loro idee e il loro coraggio, ancora oggi sono immortali nella moda, nel cinema o in un libro.

Esse vivono e fanno vivere delle emozioni vere e tangibili sulla pelle e, chissà chi sarà il prossimo artista ad entrare nella storia dell’albergo. Chissà se in un giorno magari non troppo lontano qualcuno potrà raccontare una storia ambientandola all’interno dell’hotel, poiché in un luogo dove tutto è possibile, la magia potrebbe dar vita a una nuova avventura che continuerà a far vivere le anime del Ritz Paris sotto una prospettiva diversa…

Une Rêverie: L’histoire et les âmes du Ritz Paris

Paris est une des villes les plus aimées au monde pour son histoire et sa culture. Elle a toujours été une destination obligatoire pour les rêveurs et pour les romantiques et ce n’est pas par hazard qu’elle a charmé de nombreux artistes qui se sont aventurés là de toute nation à la recherche de la bonne inspiration qui leur permettrait de laisser une marque indélébile pour chaque période à venir. Certaines émotions que seulement la capitale française peut donner, se cachent aux quatre coins de Paris, mais aujourd’hui nous avons une histoire bien précise et bien différente à raconter.
Je suis Carmine Pelosi et aujourd’hui, chers lecteurs de la mine, j’amerais vous parler de l’une des plus grandes merveilles que l’esprit et la main-d’œuvre humaine ont jamais réalisées et que, à l’œil de toute personne, ne peut que susciter de l’admiration e de grandes appreciations. Nous parlons du Ritz Paris, l’hôtel qui se trouve au numéro 15 de Place Vendôme, en plein cœur de Paris. Cette structure hôtelière prit vie durant la première partie de 1700 comme une résidence privée, avant de passer, en 1854, à Jacob Emile et Isaac Rodrigue Pereire, deux Juifs portugais qui en firent le siège de leur établissement de crédit (Crédit Mobilier) devenant ainsi des protagonistes du monde financier parisien pendant l’Empire de Napoléon III.
Des années plus tard, César Ritz, le célèbre entrepreneur suisse, également connu comme le roi des hôteliers et l’hôtelier des rois, transforma l’établissement en hôtel luxueux, inaugurant son ouverture le 1er juin 1898. La persévérance de cet homme, dans sa rédemption sociale et individuelle, représente l’excellence et la grandeur des opportunités que la vie peut offrir à quiconque se révèle être un visionnaire et un anticonformiste. Sorti d’un un petit village qui semblait l’ébranler, Ritz eut une force dans son cœur qui le poussa à changer son destin contre tout et contre tous.
En effet le nom Ritz alla bientôt donner naissance à la technique moderne de l’hospitalité touristique qui allait devenir synonyme de somptuosité, de magnificence and de rêves. L’hôtel est rapidement devenu la destination de nombreuses gens riches de l’époque e de rêveurs en quête du succès pour changer leur destin, comme Ritz lui-même avait fait. Les hôtes distingués ont donné leur noms à des suites, bars et salons de l’hôtel, rendant immortelles leurs âmes. Le Ritz est un lieu enchanté, plein d’un charme enivrant, qui a vu des personnalités légendaires transformer l’hôtel même en une légende vivante.
Oui, car le Ritz a sa propre personnalité, pleine d’histoire et d’émotions… La styliste Coco Chanel a fait de l’hôtel sa maison pendant trente ans, y séjournant jusqu’à sa mort, advenue le 10 janvier 1971. Un des trois bars de l’hôtel est dédié à Ernest Hemingway. Avec son collègue, Francis Scott Fitzgerald, Hemingway a passé de nombreuses soirées à boire et à trouver l’encre parfaite pour sa prochaine histoire. Également, dans l’hôtel Ritz c’est impossible de ne pas admirer le Salon Proust.
Comment l’ont peut facilement comprendre, le salon prend son nom de l’écrivain et essayiste français Marcel Proust, dont l’œuvre monumentale, À la Recherche du Temps Perdu, représente l’un des jalons de l’histoire de la littérature mondiale. Le salon est l’endroit idéal où profiter d’une pause dans le raffinement que seul l’hôtel peut offrir. Au cours du XXe siècle de grands acteurs ont également séjourné à l’hôtel. Rappelons, parmi d’ autres, Charlie Chaplin, Rodolfo Valentino et Greta Garbo. En outre, lors de l’invasion de la France, au cours de la deuxième guerre mondiale, le Ritz fut occupé par l’armée allemande qui en fit une maison de luxe pour les officiers de haut rang et le quartier général de l’aviation. En 1979 la famille Ritz a vendu l’hôtel au magnat égyptien Mohamed Al-Fayed.
En 1997, dans cette triste nuit du 31 août, le fils du propriétaire, Dodi et sa compagne, Diana Spencer, ont séjourné au Ritz pour la dernière fois avant leur mort dans le tunnel du Pont de l’Alma. Après ce tragique événement, la suite où ils sejournèrent est devenue un monument national. Au cours des années, de nombreuses autres personnalités de premier plan ont séjourné (et séjournent encore) au Ritz Paris. C’est porquoi l’hôtel est encore aujourd’hui une étape idéale pour se rendre compte de la beauté que les êtres humains peuvent parfois créer.
Le personnel hautement qualifié accueille chaque client comme la personne la plus importante au monde. Gentillesse, convivialité et courtoisie sont quelques-uns des mots-clés pour avoir un succès durable. On ne peut qu’être enchantés par tant d’art et de faste. Nous vous rappelons qu’il y a aussi une merveilleuse piscine et un spa où vous pourrez vous détendre et oublier vos problèmes.
On comprend donc que le Ritz Paris est bien plus qu’un hôtel luxeux. En effet, depuis sa fondation, il a représenté (et encore représente) le “Rêve” de tous les artistes. Les âmes du Ritz ont toutes une chose en commun: elles ont changé le monde. Avec leurs idées et leur courage, ces âmes sont encore aujourd’hui immortelles, dans la mode, dans le cinéma, ou bien dans un livre. Elles vivent et font vivre des émotions vraies et tangibles sur la peau; et qui sait qui sera le prochain artiste à entrer dans l’histoire de l’hôtel.
Qui sait si un jour, peut-être pas trop loin, quelqu’un pourra raconter une histoire en la situant à l’intérieur de l’hôtel. Dans un lieu où tout est possible, la magie pourrait donner naissance à une nouvelle aventure qui continuera à faire vivre les âmes du Ritz Paris sous un angle différent…

Paris is one of the most beloved cities in the world because of its rich history and culture. It has always been a major attraction for all dreamers and romantics and has unsurprisingly charmed several artists who ventured there from all nations, in search of the right inspiration, and eager to leave an indelible mark for all future ages. Some of the emotions that only the French capital can give, hide at every corner of Paris; but today I would like to tell you a specific story.
My name is Carmine Pelosi and today, my dearest readers, I would like to talk about one of the greatest marvels ever built by human labor, that unanimously stirs both great admiration and praise. We are talking about the Ritz Paris, the hotel located in Place Vendôme 15 in full heart of Paris.
The building came to life during the first half of 1700 as a private residence, before passing, in 1854, into the hands of Jacob Emile and Isaac Rodrigue Pereire, the two Portuguese Jews who made it the head office of their credit institution (Crédit Mobilier) and who became the protagonists of the Parisian financial world under the reign of Napoleon III (also known as the Second French Empire).
Several years later, the famous Swiss entrepreneur César Ritz (also known as the king of hoteliers and the hotelier to kings) transformed the building into a luxury hotel that had its grand opening on June 1st, 1898. Ritz’s perseverance in enacting his social and personal redemption well represents the excellence and the grandeur of the chances that life can offer to visionary and nonconformist individuals.
In fact, Ritz, as a young man coming from a poor family and from an unfriendly village, started to harbor a formidable power in his heart that would lead him to change his own destiny against all the odds. Really soon, in fact, the Ritz Company would create the modern technique of tourist hospitality. The hotel rapidly became the destination of many affluent people of that epoch, as well as it was the favorite abode of several dreamers and success seekers who–in their attempt to change their destiny for good—had César Ritz as their inspirational role model.
The Ritz’s suites, bars, and salons have been named after their distinguished guests and have rendered immortal the souls of such celebrities. The hotel has therefore become an enchanted place full of intoxicating charm since its legendary guests have transformed it into a living legend.
That’s right, because the Ritz Hotel has a soul of its own, bustling with life, with stories, and emotions… The fashion designer Coco Chanel made the hotel her home for thirty years, up to the moment of her death which occurred on January 10th, 1971. One of the three bars in the hotel is named after Ernest Hemingway. Along with Francis Scott Fitzgerald, Hemingway spent several evenings there, drinking and finding the perfect ink for his next story. It is also quite impossible not to admire the Salon Proust that is located immediately after the Bar Vendôme, in the hotel lobby.
As is easily understood, the salon is named after the French writer and essayist Marcel Proust whose monumental work, In Search of Lost Time, is a milestone in the history of world literature. The Proust salon is the ideal place to take a break, being immersed in the refinement that only this hotel can offer. In the twentieth century, several famous actors have also been guests of the Ritz. We remember, among others, Charlie Chaplin, Rodolfo Valentino, and Greta Garbo.
In addition, during the German invasion of France, occurred over the course of World War II, the Ritz was occupied by the German army that transformed it into both the lavish headquarters of high-ranking officials, and into the headquarters of the German Air Force. In 1979 the Ritz family sold the hotel to the Egyptian tycoon Mohamed Al-Fayed. In 1997, in that somber night of August 31st, the owner’s son, Dodi, and his partner Diana Spencer, stayed for the last time at the Ritz before they met their death in the tunnel of the Alma bridge. After that tragic event, the suite where they were lodging has become a national monument.
Throughout the years, several prominent figures have stayed (and continue to stay) at the Ritz Paris. That is why even nowadays the hotel is a destination where people will realize how much beauty human beings can sometimes create. The skilled hotel staff welcomes each guest as if he/she were the most important person in the world. Kindness, warmth, and courtesy are only some of the key words that ensure the everlasting popularity of the Ritz. One can’t but be enchanted in front of such a profusion of art and splendor. Let us also remember that the hotel has a splendid swimming pool and a Spa where guests can relax and forget about their own problems.
From the above description, we have understood that the Ritz Paris is much more than a luxury hotel. Since its foundation, in fact, it has embodied and still embodies the “Dream” for all artists…The Ritz’s souls all share something: they all have helped change the world. With their ideas and their courage, they remain immortal, to this day, in the worlds of fashion and cinema, or even in a book.
The Ritz’s souls experience emotions themselves and make people experience true and tangible emotions as well. Who knows who the next artist will be, who will be part of the hotel’s history. Who knows if perhaps, someday soon, somebody will be able to tell a story set inside the hotel, since, in a place where anything is possible, magic could create a new adventure that will continue to make the souls of the Ritz live under a different perspective…
